Five years ago today, Dragon became the first commercial spacecraft to visit the International Space Station. Falcon 9 and Dragon lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on May 22, 2012 as part of SpaceX’s second Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) demonstration mission. On May 25, after a successful rendezvous with the ISS, astronauts captured Dragon with the station's robotic arm.
